The scope of the project has been kept at a minimum to preserve an interface that is both intuitive and straight-forward to learn. However, Gnofin also provides a plugin system that allows it to be extended in terms of the tools/functions it provides and the file formats it can handle.
For example, a plugin has been written that enables Gnofin to read Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) files. This enables existing account records created by Quicken (or other compatible tools) to be imported easily into Gnofin.
