It is designed to be fast, efficient, and easy-to-use. The scope of the project has been kept at a minimum to preserve an interface that is both intuitive and straight-forward to learn. However, Gnofin also provides a plugin system that allows it to be extended in terms of the tools/functions it provides and the file formats it can handle. For example, a plugin has been written that enables Gnofin to read Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) files.
